Telenor will support the Earth Hour initiative of the international environmental organization WWF for an eighth year in a row. At the annual event, millions of people and organizations from all over the world turn off appliances and lights for an hour to show their support for the fight against climate change.
This Saturday, March 19, between 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm Telenor will turn off the lights at all of its administrative buildings and shops, as well as its rooftop advertising signs throughout the country. Only the company's systems providing the seamless network operation and customer service will be left online.
Each year Telenor holds a special communication campaign in social media and among its employees and partners, encouraging more people to get involved and show their commitment to a better future for our planet.
Earth Hour is held for a tenth consecutive year and is aimed at raising public awareness and engagement in the fight against climate change. More than 70 Bulgarian municipalities will participate in this year's campaign, and people may join the special Earth Hour events organized at central locations in many cities. In Sofia, the meeting point is in front of Ivan Vazov National Theater.
