26 August 2021Telenor launches the seventh edition of the Open Mind career program for people with disabilities
Telenor has launched the seventh edition of the Open Mind program for career development and social integration for people with disabilities. The two-year program gives a chance for the candidates to develop their social and functional skills in a real business environment, thus increasing their skills and competitiveness on the market, gaining invaluable practical experience and confidence in their professional qualities.
Open Mind is one of Telenor's most sustainable and long-term programs. For the past six years over 20 people with different capabilities have participated, all of whom then successfully landed their new jobs, and seven of them have been employed at Telenor Bulgaria. The program leads to excellent results with inclusion of people with disabilities and is a contribution to a significant segment of the labour market in Bulgaria, towards where both the state and businesses are focusing more and more efforts.
The unique design of Open Mind allows not only to form competitive professionals among people with disabilities, but also creates a working environment conducive to the understanding and commitment of the company's own teams.

The Open Mind program features three key pillars that complement and build on each other. These are: Open Mind - aimed at job applicants with disabilities; Open Mind Academy - for those in need of support for professional development; and Open Mind Workshops - aimed at different businesses with a sustainable interest in hiring people with disabilities and focus on the exchange of good practices.
During this year's edition, Telenor will give participants a chance to work in six different areas. There are open positions in the field of marketing, sales (private customers; sales and customer service; business customers) finance, legal advice. The two-year program provides training, work on the company's current business projects under the mentorship of leading experts in the respective fields and with competitive remuneration. Candidates' pre-selection is supported by JAMBA NGO.
Applicants can apply by sending a CV and cover letter and by registering here until September 19, 2021. A high-school or university degree is required depending on the chosen field as well as computer literacy, strong motivation, and willingness to learn. Proficiency in English will be considered an advantage.
Upon completion of the two-year program, participants will receive support for their professional realisation at Telenor Bulgaria or outside the company.
