100 prizes in the safer internet game “Digital Scouts” by Telenor

Telenor organizes the game “Digital Scouts: On a hunt for fun and knowledge” dedicated to the topic of safer internet. The game will be held on June 8 (Saturday) from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm in South Park in Sofia. The game is suitable for all kids older than 7 years who may participate by themselves or with their parents. For the winners of the game, Telenor provides 100 prizes for which the participants must answer correctly to 10 questions related to the risks online and the ways to overcome them.

To join the game the “Digital Scouts” mobile app will be required which will be available at Google Play and Apple App Store at the beginning of June. The app will give instructions to the participants which will lead them to ten hidden locations in South Park in Sofia. When the participants find a location they will receive a question related to safer internet.

All participants who have successfully answered the 10 questions will receive a unique code which will automatically make them part of a raffle with 100 prizes, among which 5 smartphones, 5 tablets, 5 smart bands, 5 Bluetooth speakers and 5 headphones.

The app will only require an active internet connection. During the whole day, the children and their parents will have an info zone with a special Telenor team available to help them. They will be available next to the fountains at the entrance to South Park located next to “Vitosha” Blvd.

The goal of the “Digital Scouts” game is to engage and inform children and their parents about the risks online and the ways to overcome them. Because of this, the questions in the game are related to various topics such as viruses and harmful content, online bullying, social media and password settings. The game is a continuation of Telenor’s efforts on providing safer internet. Since 2006, the company traditionally supports such initiatives. Telenor was the first telecom company in Bulgaria to launch a filter that blocks web domains containing child sexual abuse materials.
