29 June 2021Telenor Bulgaria wins first place for the best digital campaign in social media from the Davos Communications Awards
Telenor Bulgaria has been awarded the first place in "Best Digital Campaign in Social Media" category for its campaign "Digital Scouts: Hunting for Adventure and Knowledge" during the first-ever Davos Communications Awards, organized by the Association of the World Communication Forum in Davos. A total number of 55 applications, from 18 different countries, entered the competition, with only 11 of them getting to the finals.
The Digital Scouts campaign was run jointly with communication agency d:istinkt and with the main goal to teach children and young people how to protect themselves from dangers online. More than 20,000 young people downloaded the mobile application, developed for the campaign, and entered the world of digital security, supported by some of the most high-level influencers in Bulgaria. For a day, they had to deal with a total of 12 challenges, puzzles and questions related to topics relevant to children and teenagers, including online peer bullying, true and false information, media literacy and more.
“Telenor is a leader in the telecommunications services market in Bulgaria and this carries with it the responsibility to be a loyal partner of our customers and to help them for easier, and above all, safe navigation in the digital world. As in other sectors, prevention is the most effective tool here", said Viliana Staneva, Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility Expert, Telenor Bulgaria.
The success of the Digital Scouts campaign proves the need for projects that create sustainable results through innovative and creative methods. Therefore, the company plans to run a sequel to create more valuable moments for both children and their parents.
