Telenor Bulgaria keeps Revenues, EBITDA and ARPU growth in Q3 / 9M’2018

In Q3 2018 Telenor Bulgaria maintained the revenue and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciations and amortization (EBITDA) growth trends observed from the start of 2018.

The total revenues for Q3 reached 187m BGN, mainly driven by the improved ARPU that was 15.3 BGN for the third quarter. The total revenue growth was also positively influenced by the increase in device revenues, chiefly due to customer focus on high-end smart devices.

Revenue growth, in combination with the ongoing efficiency efforts, resulted in improved EBITDA, which was 76m BGN for the period. Customer base was positively impacted by the summer season and reached 3,163k customers as of end of Q3, of which 23% prepaid.

Telenor’s main focus in Q3 remained the provision of strong service quality and valuable options for the customers, including VoLTE service, for example. In less than 6 months after introduction of this service, which provides improved quality of voice calls while keeping high speeds of mobile internet, the share of VoLTE traffic exceeded 5% from total voice traffic.
