16 April 2008GLOBUL HOLDS MASTER CLASSES FOR TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
More than 120 second- and third-year Telecommunications students at the Technical University-Sofia joined the Mobile Network Life-Cycle master class held by GLOBUL Network Performance and Quality Department Manager Spas Velinov.
The master class was part of the The GLOBUL Hour knowledge-sharing initiative, aimed at supporting students in their choice of career and professional realization in Bulgaria. During the master class the students were also provided detailed information on the opportunities for working and training at GLOBUL. The next master class of the The GLOBUL Hour initiative in Bulgaria’s largest technical academia will be held on April 22, 2008. The topic will be Measurements and Surveillance of Mobile Networks Performance and will be held by Nikolai Ninov, head of section at GLOBUL’s Network Performance and Quality Department.
The GLOBUL Hour is yet another of the joint GLOBUL-Technical University initiatives in support of the professional education of the students at the university’s Telecommunications Faculty. GLOBUL has invested more than BGN 120,000 so far in various projects at the university including, scholarship and traineeship programs, reconstruction of faculty facilities, lab and career center equipment and donation of other equipment.
In 2007, for the first time in its history Technical University-Sofia awarded GLOBUL its Gold Medal for its continuing contribution for the development of the Telecommunications Faculty.
