21 August 2019Telenor will broadcast 360-video from the stage of Orlin Pavlov’s concert in Plovdiv during its third 5G trial in Sofia
Telenor will hold its third practical 5G trial with a live stream of a 360-degree video from Orlin Pavlov’s concert in Plovdiv on August 28. The live stream will be made with the help of 5G technology, that Telenor is currently testing.
The stream can be watched during an event in park “Zaimov” in Sofia where the telecom will have a special corner with VR glasses through which the visitors will be able to become part of the concert, thanks to the 5G technology. The event visitors will also be able to watch the concert on a LED wall and to test other applications of the 5G technology. The event attendance will be free.
Besides the park “Zaimov” event, Telenor will also live stream the concert of Orlin Pavlov at the Rowing base in Plovdiv in its mobile app YettelApp.
This will be the third of a series of practical 5G trials of Telenor under the slogan “5G trials for a better future”. During Telenor's first 5G trial at the end of July, doctors at Pirogov hospital from Sofia conducted a remote examination of a patient who was in Haskovo. The second trial was with chef-cook Andre Tokev who was in Burgas and mentored six amateur cooks who were cooking in the kitchen of his restaurant in Sofia.
The company plans to continue the 5G demonstrations in the coming months, exploring the potential of the next generation of mobile technology. These 5G experiments will be specifically designed to address precise needs in the areas of production, education, mentoring, entertainment industry and art.
Orlin Pavlov’s concert will be the first of its kind in Bulgaria, with a specially designed stage made of floating docks. The stage will be built by the people behind the building of the project “The Floating Piers” by the artist Christo Yavashev. The concert will be shot with two Huawei P30 Pro smartphones, discretely positioned as close as possible to the stage. Thanks to the model’s capabilities for dynamic light video shooting, viewers will be able to have the closest possible look at the event, streamed live with the help of the 5G technology. Orlin Pavlov will be joined on stage by some of the public’s favorite Bulgarian artists such as Mihaela Fileva, Beloslava, Lyubo Kirov, Vladi Ampov – Grafa and Bobo. During the concert, the new Orlin Pavlov and Mihaela Fileva song will be debuted. The song will be part of the soundtrack of the movie “Reunion”. In that way the final scene of the Bulgarian movie, which is supported by Telenor, will be filmed.
